Squamish Nation Language Lesson - How To Say Sḵwx̱wu7mesh

With the upgrade of the Sea to Sky highway ahead of the 2010 Olympics, all the highway signs were updated to include the traditional names of the places along the way.  Squamish has a 7 in the traditional word, which even the most seasoned linguist might have trouble discerning.  So for all of you who have wondered how to properly pronounce the word, Khelsilem of the Skwomesh Language Academy is here to give us a Squamish Nation language lesson that hits home.
