Wild Berry + Chia Seed Jam


Say what you will about the weather this summer, but one thing is for sure, the berries love it.

We all love jam, but how to enjoy that fruit without all the sugar?

Enter the wee little chia seed. It expands to multiple times its size, creating a thick gel coating when mixed with liquid. This gel works wonders for thickening jam, while using minimal sugar. Chia seeds are also loaded with B vitamins and lots of other nutrients, so it’s win win.

You can use any berries in this recipe. We just chose ones that are bountiful in right now in Squamish.
