The dust has settled. The numbers are in. And the last of the auction items have been claimed.
We’re sending a big thank you to the community for showing up and supporting the Mountainfilm Festival earlier this month. This sellout fundraiser helps fund the volunteer-run Squamish Search and Rescue.
This year we raised $10,054 from a silent auction, raffle and ticket sales!
Well Curated Films
Not only did the Mountainfilm Festival benefit a worthwhile cause, it did so featuring fantastic films.
The well–curated event was an evening of adventure, interesting characters, stories that warmed our hearts and films that won the crowd. Here’s our highlight reel:
“Edges”
She’s better than anyone we know on figure skates. And she’s in her 90’s.
“Throw”
A misunderstood inner city teen creates his own scene. ‘Cause that’s what you do when you’re a Yo-Yo prodigy.
“Operation Moffatt”
She could be the original climbing dirtbag. In this film, a granddaughter attempts to relive life as her climbing and adventuring grandmother did.
